      Department of Social Work’s Distinguished Group Presentation Northwest Nazarene University Department of Social Work May 2019 Created and organized a successful mental health campaign targeting a rural school district’s youth ages 11-18 years-old to provide education and resources to combat increased rates of suicide. The community project's pre and post assessment self-reported surveys indicated that 160 students learned what mental health is, the importance of acquiring resources and information for their mental health, and provided pro bono local resources and anonymous online support assistance.
