    • Starkey Hearing Technologies

      May 2016 - Aug 2016
      Sales and Marketing Operations Internship

This was an empowering role for me. I researched and contributed to Starkey’s Sales and Marketing strategy at a young age. It showed me the value in giving responsibility to younger employees to give them a chance to learn and grow within a corporate setting. As an intern for the Sales and Marketing teams, I worked directly with the National Sales Director to manage Starkey’s CRM and other sales operations tools; establish Starkey’s exit strategy program for transitioning customers; scaling the program across the U.S; and optimized the evaluation process for Starkey’s key locations. I presented the research results and recommendations to the management team.Through this internship, I learned the importance of understanding the target market. Every customer is different and knowing how to partner and provide value to each helps a company succeed. Reaching out to customers shows that a company values their customer’s needs and wants. As a member of the Administrative team, I managed all daily activities for Sourcewell's Twin Cities headquarters, from calendar coordination to daily meetings. I worked with the Marketing Operations team to streamline marketing activities, boosting efficiency for the group.Through this internship I learned the value of communication. • Henry Schein

      Sept 2018 - Feb 2020
Project Manager, Warehouse Operations & Equipment Coordinator

As a Project Manager and Warehouse Operations & Equipment Coordinator, the core function of my job was to put the right people on the right job at the right time. In other words, I empowered fellow employees, specifically technicians, by giving them opportunities for growth. Even if a colleague was new, I trusted them and encouraged them to challenge themselves in different aspects of their job. This created a positive culture where people trusted and relied on one another. As the core member of the Operations team for Henry Schein Dental, I managed resource allocation for projects, coordinating with a team of over 50 technicians and sales representatives. In order to make the branch more efficient, I streamlined the ordering process for the Colorado & Wyoming regions, from project initiation to project close. I oversaw all weekly meetings between project coordinators and outside sales representatives in the region to ensure communication through the project lifecycle.I built excellent relationships with customers through daily communication by phone and email about the status of their new equipment orders, and service and repair requests. On top of working with the Operations team, I coordinated additional leadership opportunities outside of the role, including HR and Administrative projects.Through this role at Henry Schein, I learned the importance of confidence. Confidence is key to make business decisions and building a team. Confidence in yourself that you can do your job and excel even without proper training, and confidence in your teammates to help them excel at their jobs. Show less
