      My work involves promoting my university, its partners, and the study abroad experience. This includes helping with office work, manning a stand at open days and visit days, and doing presentations about my time abroad for potential outgoing students. I ran two studies for current PhD students. This involved recruiting participants, organising time slots via email, running the studies, and entering the data using SPSS.

      In November 2019, I passed my viva with the award of PhD subject to minor corrections.Concentrations: Psychology of eating behaviour, appetite and obesity Key achievements: Addressed two, thus far largely unexplored, potential explanations for why we overconsume from larger portions. Developed a scale to measure food waste concerns in an eating context, demonstrating its reliability and validity across two studies. Published my work in Appetite (one published 2018, one under review) and presented at a variety of U.K. and international conferences.Details: Completed part-time (4 years) alongside a part-time teaching role, ran a total of 7 studies. Samples were University of Liverpool staff and students (laboratory volunteers) or adults from the U.K. (online samples). Active member of the laboratory group, and a regular presenter at meetings. Organised lab meetings (2017-18). Show less Courses: Research methods and statistics, Transferable skills, Cognitive psychology, Appetite and obesity Led seminars for first and second year students to support their statistics lectures. Provided regular office hours for student support. Marked statistics reports, essays and examinations, including checking inputted marks for the School of Psychology Examinations Office. Mentored a new demonstrator, who shadowed all my teaching for her first year. Guest lecturer on the Appetite and Obesity module (Year 3).Additional roles: Mentored new demonstrators and prospective undergraduate peer mentors (Sept.2017-2018). Assisted in planning, implementing and evaluating a new curriculum (Sept. 2018-Aug. 2019). Presented lectures at summer schools and participated in open days to encourage prospective students. Member of student ‘belongingness’ events team; arranged guest lectures, debates, and live podcast recordings. Led invigilating of undergraduate examinations, including 1:1 examinations. In this 2-year fellowship, I will explore how we can better communicate with children about eating well and body weight, and support those concerned about their weight.
