  For the Christmas and Valentines period I decided to create and sell chocolate bouquets locally and online. This gave me an insight into all elements of business: I had to handle the accounts, source the products from suppliers, market the products, run the social media accounts and sell them to customers. Running a successful business, whilst doing my A-levels and having part-time work, demonstrates that I am hardworking and organised, but also shows my drive to succeed in a business role.

  In this role I act as the first point of contact for all Visitors, Students, potential Students, Conference delegates and provide a courteous, efficient and professional reception service. I use my communication skills to greet stakeholders, answer the telephones or take messages in a professional manner, dealing with different personalities. Moreover, I control the issue of keys and ensure all information is recorded accurately, demonstrating my organisational skills. I ensure reception is tidy and the information within the reception is up to date: this includes updating the information displayed in the main foyer. Despite having regular shifts, I am always flexible to ensure reception is never unmanned and shifts are always covered, highlighting my hardworking and dedicated nature. Show less
