  SoB '23 is a global, online summer internship program focused on introducing university students to Bitcoin open-source development and design.Currently developing Bolt 13 Bitcoin-compliant watchtower at Eye of Satoshi in Rust for lightning transactions.The Eye of Satoshi is a non-custodial Lightning watchtower compliant with BOLT13. The purpose of non-custodial watchtowers is to serve as a failsafe mechanism for nodes and protect them against being cheated by potentially malicious peers. Watchtowers receive encrypted penalty data from lightning nodes for each channel update alongside some identifier that allows them to locate potential channel breaches. Upon detecting a breach, the penalty data can be decrypted and acted upon. Show less
