"At Wit's End" is a lifeline to parents who have bright children who struggle in school. These students are often misdiagnosed, misunderstood, and left alone to cope. Inside these pages you will find 2 things you won't find anywhere else - An explanation behind what is happening with students who struggle, and you'll find answers to actually solving the problems...permanently. Find answers to these common questions: • Why does your smart child struggle so much? • Why doesn’t anything you’ve tried seem to be working? • Could there be something underlying the poor grades that is the real issue? • If so, what is it? Can it be fixed? • Is it really possible to correct dyslexia, learning disabilities, or other learning and attention challenges? • How can these issues be corrected? • Where do you go for help? There are real solutions. For decades, pioneers in the field of learning, many of whom are listed in the acknowledgements, have been exploring the causes and solutions for learning challenges. Today, the brain research has caught up with the clinicians. We know now that the brain can change. Learning can improve. Those dreams for your child’s future can be re-captured. I hope that’s what you’ll take away from this book: the joy of understanding and hope, and a blueprint for real solutions. In the past 30 years we have helped over 5,000 students and their families overcome the devastation of learning problems. Our students have gone from special education to graduation with honors, to college, and many even have masters and doctorate degrees. Our goal for each student, regardless of age, is that he/she becomes as comfortable and independent a learner as possible. In order to do this, we work closely with parents, communicate with schools, and are continually seeking to find and implement the most effective, research based, efficient strategies and programs. Stowell Learning Centers work with a very comprehensive continuum of learning skills that allows us to create programming for each student that is very specific to his or her needs. We work one-on-one with students in a positive, caring environment to provide proven, brain-based instruction that is targeted to their specific needs and learning style. What Parents Say: “Thought you would be interested to know that Jared has made the Principal’s Honor Roll at Sonrise Christian School for both semesters with a 3.75 GPA. Needless to say Gerry and I are very proud of him but we certainly give most of the credit to Stowell Learning Center. Learning does not come easy to Jared but with the tools your program provided, he has definitely gained the leading edge. Thank you for your commitment to helping our children.” -Joanne CaccamoEvery day we hear the stories from parents about what learning problems are doing to their children and their families. It breaks our hearts to hear them when we know that there are very real, do-able answers for these bright children and their families.Have a child or adult in need?In Chino - Call (909)598-2482In Orange County - Call (949)477-4133 Show less
