  I am the senior member of staff at this site, which engages with the public with live demonstrations of Victorian machinery and production methods. We welcome around 22,000 visitors a year and since my appointment due to the sharp rise in this number my role has been split due to the increasing workload that this large increase has caused. My role has developed from a general management role, overseeing the tearoom, shop, conservation and volunteers and visitor management to a specialised conservation and volunteer management role where I have been able to work collaboratively to move policy and procedure forward. Show less I support the House Steward in managing a team of 6 Conservation Assistants and over 150 volunteers, I assist with remedial conservation of the collection, I manage the social networking for Saltram House, I am trained to complete the 'PRS' accounts return, I am part of the key-rep fire and security team; which includes crisis and disaster managment as well as day to day management of the systems, I am also in charge of engaging the public; young and old and I help to improve the public's view of Saltram online and in real life.
