Transitioned into an assembly role where I learned the proper methods to ensure the cleanliness of individual parts and became proficient at following detailed build instructions. Became familiar with Lean Manufacturing and helped implement new strategies and manufacturing techniques. Moved into a test and calibration role where I was responsible for operating a test stand used to adjust settings on multiple different types of mechanical governors to different customers specifications. Along with this role came a greater understanding and appreciation of the process engineering involved in this work. Assisted with the engineering and logistical aspects of moving multiple product assembly and test lines from one Woodward facility to another.
