      I worked at Atkins, Aberdeen during the summer of 2014 within the Flow Assurance team. I worked on basic training and common analysis problems before undertaking a software evaluation. A few of the major undertakings during my placement are listed as follows:• Training in fluid analysis software (Multiflash and PVTsim) to perform and fluid characterisation.• Training in steady state simulations in PIPESIM with dynamic simulations in both OLGA, HYSYS and LedaFlow.• Performed different types of analysis including: pipeline sizing, fluid analysis, cool down, shutdown, methanol injection, and restart situations.• Carried out a software evaluation on LedaFlow with benchmarking to OLGA and PIPESIM to compare the use of the newer simulation package.
