      Hearst Championship Writing Finalist Hearst Journalism Foundation Jun 2023 Competed in Hearst Journalism Foundations national championships in San Francisco and placed as a finalist among the seven other writers. I was tasked with a feature on the future of the SF Bay ferries and the impact climate change, world events and technology has on the widely used transportation services. A secondary news story based on a virtual press conference with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was presented.

      Eagle Scout BSA May 2016 Received funding via donations for a self-planned project. I led volunteers to carry out project of rebuilding a corner of the back wall of the church at which my troop met while adding stucco and repainting 250 of total wall. Additionally, we added 14 tons of new rock and buried previously installed drip line.
