      I have completed my MBBS at Imperial College London and am registered with the General Medical Council as a doctor. I was awarded the Sir George Pinker scholarship upon entry into this programme.I have held the following roles in GradMed Society; President (2018-19), Treasurer (2017-18), Co-Chair of Journal club (2016-17) and Academic Representative (2015-16).

      I have completed two, two-week internships at Coller Capital Private Equity working with the marketing team in 2012 and then being invited to follow the investment team in 2013. This allowed me to develop my communication skills and ability to collect and present data in reports and presentations.

      General Counsellor

      I worked at Camp Laurelwood in Connecticut where I looked after children for two months and was selected for a leadership role at camp's annual competitive sports and arts event. During this 4-day event, I co-led a team of 80 campers and counsellors enhancing my confidence and leadership ability through managing, and working with, other counsellors to ensure camper activities ran smoothly. I was also responsible for the pastoral care of the children and ensuring their safety.

      I spent time as a representative of Coller Capital in the Netherlands visiting Forbion Capital Partners. This enabled me to learn about biotech company evaluation and to visit two of their portfolio companies; UniQure, a pioneering gene therapy research company, and AM Pharma, focusing on rare diseases and alkaline phosphatase uses. In these visits I researched orphan drug potential and pharmaceutical developments using review papers and economic evaluations.       I completed a week long 'Work Experience Programme' in the Endocrinology department of Charing Cross Hospital. During this clinical placement, I assisted with practical and clerical tasks and learnt more about the discipline which enhanced my understanding of Physiology from my studies at university.

      I spent a month shadowing surgical teams at University College Hospital in London. Dividing my time between General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery provided me with an insight into different ways of tackling problems surgically. I was able attend theatre, consultations and meetings highlighting to me the importance of multidisciplinary input in diagnosing and treating patients.

      Between 2020 and 2022, I worked at Hillingdon Hospital as a foundation doctor. I completed my F1 in Colorectal Surgery, Gastroenterology, Accident & Emergency and Haematology. I continued at Hillingdon Hospital as an F2 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Practice and Geriatrics. I opted to start my training 3 months early as an interim F1 during the COVID pandemic and worked in Paediatrics during this time.
