      Achieved a three-fold increase in visitors and a four-fold increase in turnover (income).Tipton Baths was highly commended for an innovative approach to marketing in the UK Sports Councils’ Management Awards 1987.The Sports Council’s Technical Unit for Sport (TUS) highlighted Tipton in a paper on enhancing the conventional pool at the 1988 Recreation Management Seminar at Wembley.The baths was a runner-up in the Recognition of Leisure Industry Achievement (ROLIA) Awards at International Leisure Industry Week.The programming and development of pools such as Tipton informed a Regional Strategy Topic Study on Swimming published by the West Midlands Council for Sport and Recreation.
