I was also given some design projects towards the end of my internship. Show less

    • House of Holland

      Sept 2018 - Sept 2018
      Fashion Intern

During London Fashion Week 2018 at House of Holland, I assisted in the preparation and duration of the event. My responsibilities included tracking down garments that were still in production, gathering garments and accessories from different locations, providing assistance in last-minute garment adjustments, and managing the organisation and dressing of models during the show. This experience taught me how to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. I was able to gain insight into everything that goes on behind the scenes of a high-fashion company and experience the ins and outs of the run-up to a show in London Fashion Week. Show less

    • Heidi Klein

      Sept 2018 - Dec 2018
      Fashion Design Intern

I was part of a small design team at Heidi Klein, meaning I would work primarily one on one with the head designer. I had a range of responsibilities from conducting design research for new lines, completing CADs and tech packs for products, assisting on fittings and communicating with the production and PR teams. I organised and kept track of our fabric library and assisted in the selection of fabrics.

      Dec 2023 - now

I'm currently working as a design intern for the IMPACT+ network. IMPACT+ is a multi-disciplinary network that challenges the way environmental impact is measured and assessed across the fashion and textile industries. It questions the reliability, authenticity and usability of data, exploring how existing methods of analysis could be having a detrimental effect on sustainable development. My role is a mix of marketing, design and assisting with research. I have created content, ran social media accounts and assisted in the marketing of the IMPACT+ Network's first symposium, held at Northumbria. My expertise in sustainable fashion design has allowed me to assist the team in interviewing attendees at the event, gathering insights and opinions. In addition, my understanding of the project has helped me create informative and engaging content for the audience, resulting in significant growth in our network and social media presence.
