As an Inventory Controller I directed all Inventory related matters such as monitoring product costs and profit margins, inventory levels, product procurement, and sales figures. I performed physical product inventories and prepared data and financial reports for the general manager and corporate officers. It was also my sole responsibility to coordinate all preparation for and execution of semi-annual physical inventories. I also trained and assisted the other Inventory Controllers in additional California store locations and was responsible for completing all State Board of Equalization tax returns for cigarette, tobacco and liquor sales. As an Assistant Operations Manager I oversaw daily operations of the sales floor, receiving, customer service, and inventory control departments and worked hard to promote a positive and dynamic work environment. I would staff and train the various departments and handle scheduling and coordinating special activities. I would also conduct internal performance audits on each department. Additionally I actively worked to acquire new and retain existing customer accounts while working overall in concert with the general manager and corporate officers to meet/exceed budgetary targets and periodic sales goals.
