      Started at Ft. Bragg, NC as a clerk typist for G3 Plans, XVIII Airborne Corps typing various documents for the G3 Officer to include operation plans. Working on the same floor as the Top Secret Library required me to have a Top Secret Interim Clearance. Next, at 18th Military Intelligence Battalion, Munich, West Germany, I maintained the publications library and was a courier of classified documents for the battalion. Then, at 5th Special Forces Group, Ft. Campbell, KY, I was in the S3 as a clerk typist and filled in as the S5 for a couple months until the position could be filled by a higher grade. As the S5 (Public Affairs), I attended all the staff meetings and took notes and maintained the office until the replacement arrived, to whom I passed all the information. Show less

Assist other sections (Light Pack and Heavy Pack) in completing the daily duties and operations which includes packing of both personnel and cargo parachutes and rigging of cargo loads for airdrop.

      Supervised the daily operations of the Heavy Loft section to include rigging and inspection of various cargo loads for aerial delivery and rigging and inspection of various cargo parachutes. Assisted in the on-load of rigged loads aboard aircraft for air drop performing Joint Airload Inspections of each load. Assigned as Detachment OIC for 8 Riggers detached for two separate missions. The first was to introduce and demonstrate the capabilities of Aerial Delivery as an option for re-supply during an exercise at 29 Palms, CA. The second was to support the Airborne Test Branch at Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ in the testing of new aerial delivery systems. Deployed in support of the inital push of Operation Iraqi Freedom providing supplies forward via aerial delivery.
