      The UC Berkeley Residential Life Academic Program provides residential students with positive peer interaction through tutoring and academic advising. As a mathematics tutor with Res-Life Academic Program, I provide academic support for all undergraduate mathematics courses offered at UC Berkeley. I also provide support for lower division physics courses and upper division probability courses.

      I was an Undergraduate Lab At Berkeley (ULAB) Biophysics Research Lead during the 2019-2020 school year. My team investigated several different methods to lower exposure to nanoparticle toxicity when utilizing nanoparticles as a drug delivery method for cancer treatment. In particular, we focused on utilizing self-assembling DNA nanostructures that had nanoparticles embedded within them. We proposed a delivery method that would allow the nanoparticles to be called back after the medication had been delivered to the targeted cells which would reduce the harmful effects of toxicity on the body caused by the prolonged exposure to nanoparticles.       I'm working with Dr. Waqas Khalid and his team on designing and modeling a COVID-19 testing device at Lawrence Lab through a URAP apprenticeship. The research focuses on creating and modeling a miniaturized assay device (MAD) which included a micro fluidic assembly module and sensor chip with attached carbon nanotubes that have been functionalized with ssRNA. MAD also contains electronics to obtain data from the sensors. When the nanotubes come in contact with a sample containing COVID-19 RNA, the complementary RNA on the carbon nanotubes hybridizes with the COVID-19 RNA resulting in a change in current that is picked up by the circuitry. The device could potentially be used for at home COVID-19 testing that would provide accurate results within a few minutes. Show less

      I'm a 2nd year Bioengineering Doctoral Student at UC San Diego focused on improving brainstem Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Liu and Dr. Albert Hsiao. My work takes both an acquisition-based as well as an AI-centric, correction-based approach to minimizing off resonance and motion related artifacts that significantly hinder the accuracy of brainstem functional imaging.
