  In this role I support the Marshal and DbProtect product lines, which are products for email and database security. The primary tools I use are Cygwin, WSL, Wireshark, and visual code. With visual code, I have automated the installation of labs with PowerShell and Bash. I have also scripted utilities to help me perform routine tasks. As an engineer I provided support for the MailMarshal, WebMarshal, NAC, M86 Web Filter. and UTM products. I maintained labs for our products as needed and wrote scripts to discover and resolve issues. This role included supporting Linux based servers with MySQL, and Windows servers with MSSQL. As an analyst I supported the M86 Web Filter product which included analyzing Linux logs. This required general Linux troubleshooting knowledge and an understanding of Apache, MySQL and Java. For this product, my troubleshooting was heavily reliant on tcpdump to unravel the issue.
