  Worked as a Ward Clerk in the Alfred Hospital, across different wards. My role entailed organising and maintaining patient records, admitting, transferring and discharging patients, booking ambulances, liaising with patients' families, ward nurses, and doctors, and generally ensuring that visitors have a smooth and pleasant time when visiting patients. I facilitated communication within the ward and arranged and coordinated patient services.

  Triage and Drafting Student

  My role as a triage student with the pro-bono SBAL clinic is to triage clients to determine the areas of their business which they would like advice on from the solicitors we partner with. Making notes on the problems faced by the client to then share with the solicitor working on the case requires exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and client care skills. I enjoy this role because it's a chance for me to both engage in the local community and help the operation of this pro-bono clinic, while also allowing me to develop my drafting, networking, and client interviewing skills.   Participated in Legal Cheek’s Spring Virtual Vacation Scheme, which featured a series of insightful presentations from leading law firms. Notable sessions included a talk on tax, led by associates from Hogan Lovells, a lecture on finance hosted by Slaughter and May, and, my personal favourite, a talk on Private Equity delivered by an associate from Willkie Farr & Gallagher. The Private Equity session was a particularly fascinating lecture on how PE funds work, the typical deal structures, and the role of lawyers, both working in PE and adjacent sectors such as M&A and Corporate, in supporting PE clients. Show less Completed The Legal Cheek Commercial Awareness Academy 2024-25. Participation in this academy entailed attending various fascinating talks, and then completing a test on each of them.
