Additional Career Highlights¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯☑ Lanbanque Engineering, Inc., Executive Vice-PresidentCoordinated the design professionals and solved construction problems for this multi-disciplined Architectural/Engineering firm in the building development field. Most of this work was on a fast-track schedule, i.e., construction was proceeding simultaneously with the construction document preparation.☑ Mathews Corporation, Vice-PresidentLed design and construction of design-build, fast-track construction projects. Projects ranged from small storage facilities to large industrial, commercial, office and housing facilities, and often included investigation of accidents and implementing safety principles to prevent future occurrences. Helped implement and coordinate newly established OSHA requirements.☑ Diaz-Seckinger, Design EngineerCoordinated my design with other professionals on building, site planning, roads, bridges, civil, and structural engineering projects. Forensic Engineer

After 30+ successful years in Forensic Engineering, I am semi-retired. I periodically take on projects primarily involving safety compliance, accident prevention, risk assessments, and consulting. Clients include Facility Managers, Safety Directors, Property Managers, Attorneys, Claim Managers, Insurance Companies, and others. My practice currently provides:☑ Handrail and Guardrail Testing - In the state of Florida, every public lodging (Hotel/Motel) establishment which is 3 or more stories in height must submit a certificate stating that any and all balconies, and stairway handrails have been inspected and certified every 3 years. Failure to have a current certificate of inspection can result in costly fines.I use a proprietary handrail testing device that can apply the generally required load of 200 pounds at any point, in or out on the top of the guardrail (handrail or balcony rail). This portable device allows affordable testing of each guardrail on property to assure code compliance and to refute potential lawsuits. ☑ Slip Resistance Testing - On floor surfaces to determine if the surface is within industry guidelines for a “safe” surface. I use the latest, best, and most accurate testing device to perform these tests, the English XL -- Variable Incidence Tester. I have been a Certified XL Tribometrist for over 20 years.☑ Consultant on Liability and Safety Cases – I work with attorneys (plaintiff or defense), Insurance companies, or property owners wanting the assurance their property is reasonably safe, or trying to determine if and how to fight a claim. I offer over 30 years of experience in legal matters and testifying as an expert witness. ➤ Contact W. T. “Dusty” Yaxley, P.E.Please contact me to discuss your project needs.
