  The Resident Care Director (RCD) is responsible for hiring, scheduling, disciplining and assisting with the training of all Care Aides, The RCD reports to the Executive Director. These essential functions include, but are not limited to: Demonstrating positive interpersonal skills in dealing with Caregivers, residents, residents’ families, visitors, and co-workers. Handling sensitive resident, family and personnel staff discussions in a professional and confidential manner. Initiating and participating in quality assurance and quality improvement activities based on the four components of quality: customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, process/system refinement, and financial impact. Applying problem solving and conflict resolution skills where needed. Working to establish a group culture to enable Paradise Park to function as a “whole.”Acting in an advisory capacity on facility issues to Paradise Park Assisted Living. The RCD is expected to perform other position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:Keeping accurate and confidential records, including medical and employment documentation, for all Caregivers. Processing payroll for the campus staff with-in our Time Force application.Conducting/scheduling/tracking in-servicing of CareGivers to ensure Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) requirements of 20 hours, of on-going training each year. Assisting in the development of job descriptions and performance appraisal systems. Recruiting, selecting, hiring, evaluating, and terminating CareGiver personnel. Training and supervising resident personnel, ensuring each employee is trained and knowledgeable with respect to blood-borne pathogen standard, hazard communication standard, and infection control policies.
