My experience at National Dance Institute of New Mexico's Teacher Excellence Training Workshop was an intense, amazing, and inspiring two weeks of hands on learning how to plan and teach their in school programs for elementary school children. I was part of a team of 13 trainers and teachers in training that taught and rehearsed three 4th grade classes for two weeks. The classes taught them teamwork, patience, the importance of "doing your best and never giving up" to achieve their goals. The enthusiasm of the students was overwhelming. Even the students who were reluctant at first or struggled to do the simplest movements showed incredible improvement and sheer joy from their accomplishments as individuals and as a team. Show less
