      During university I got my first exposure to supply chain management as the supervisor of a third party logistics (3PL) contract warehouse. I also spent over a year on a land drilling rig as a roughneck in Southern Alberta, where I learned about people, sensors and systems, participated in a round of fracking -- and was on a crew that hit oil twice.

      Sales Manager; Account Manager

      Cycom serves the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) market as a systems integrator and field service support provider, at this time in the DEC/VAX server, terminal fleet and PC desktop spaces. Promoted to Sales Manager. Added profitable new products, including #thinclient, to portfolio of solutions. Worked with IT managers to ensure customer satisfaction. Competed to win service contracts, including in manufacturing and insurance.

      Senior Account Executive

      Israel-based Magic Software sells a high-end rules-based application development & integration suite. In Gartner Magic Quadrant. Represented Magic Canada, Magic North America and a Magic business partner in three separate engagements during this time. Was fourth member of the Magic team when the company first opened in Toronto. Discovered, sold and closed pioneering and breakthrough deals including one of Magic's largest-ever North American projects.

      Recruited to leading B2B EIPP hub provider to drive the company's new "OpenInvoice Finance" securitization-based supply chain finance (SCF) startup initiative with top North American bank partners. Know working capital business drivers, esp. DPO and how a well-financed ecosystem can be more profitable and less risky for suppliers and buyers both. Credit events of '08/'09 negatively affected development of the SCF market. DO2's SCF platform program was scaled down and DO2 was eventually purchased by ADP in January 2010. Show less
