    • Cranfield University

      2022 -
Doctor of Philosophy - PhD Automotive Engineering

As part of my thesis, I developed a centralised cooperative control framework where Connected and Automated Vehicles navigate an urban road network with multiple intersections. Safety is ensured by preventing potential collisions, while journeys are optimised for comfort, providing a pleasant travel experience for all passengers.

  • Experience

    • Defence Institute of Advanced Technology

      Jun 2009 - Oct 2009
      Research Scientist

      • Cultivated core competencies in Basic & Applied Research in contemporary & futuristic technologies.• Trained to be proficient in using systematic Innovative Approach and Technical Creativity for obtaining solutions of Engineering Problems.

    • Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment

      Oct 2009 - Aug 2017
      Research Scientist

      • Conducted low-fidelity simulations of hydro-pneumatic suspension using MATLAB and high-fidelity simulations using LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim.• Performed a wide range of Multibody Simulations of the vehicle models with different simulation scenarios using LMS Virtual.Lab Motion to understand the behaviour of vehicles.• Conducted high-fidelity co-simulations of suspension system using LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim and LMS Virtual.Lab Motion, integrating detailed suspension component models to closely replicate actual system behaviour.• Introduced an innovative single-configuration suspension mechanism, replacing the previous dual-configuration approach. This enhancement streamlined production and assembly processes, reduced inventory requirements, and generated significant cost savings, earning high praise from top management.• Rectified undesirable stiffness characteristics of the suspension system by conducting kinematic analysis and optimising the suspension mechanism using MATLAB. This adjustment significantly improved the vehicle's dynamic performance.• Contributed to the conceptual design and initial simulation phase of an oleo strut for landing gear of an unmanned aerial vehicle.• Collaborated on cross-functional project reviews, providing insights with mathematical models to enhance method viability, leading to the adoption of improved engineering solutions and reducing error rates.• Provided mentoring and technical guidance to new recruits to enhance their productivity. • Continental

      Aug 2017 - Jan 2022
      Senior Technical Architect

      • Contributed as a core member to Active Yaw Control (AYC) base development, analysing and integrating cross-location developer feedback to enhance core functionality.• Spearheaded Vehicle Model Development (CarMaker) and Test Automation (using Continental internal framework) with a 3-member team for Verification tests for customer project locations including India, Germany, Italy, Japan and China.• Developed several tools and incorporated in the toolchain resulting in an automated & streamlined process that reduced simulation setup times. Eg: CarMaker Vehicle Model & Tyre Development Tool using MATLAB.• Developed several technical methods/solutions to meet Continental internal requirements as well customer (OEMs) requirements. Eg: A simple brake model based on the typical pedal force vs pedal travel characteristics using CarMaker, MATLAB & Simulink.• As a part of cost optimisation drive, contributed to bring some of the field test cases to virtual platform.• Contributed to a Base Project (Strategically & Technically important project of company for future readiness) directly managed by Continental Germany location, where technical expertise, problem solving skills and creativity – all of them plays crucial roles.• Official Local Expert of Continental Automotive Components India Pvt. Ltd. on Vehicle Model topics.• Provided several training sessions on Vehicle Dynamics and technical guidance/consultation at Business Unit level and cross-BU levels to colleagues on Vehicle Dynamics at Continental India and Italy locations.• Served as Scrum Master for a global Test Automation team across India and Japan, meeting sprint targets through Agile practices, leading to accelerated testing cycles and higher quality outputs.
