  • As a material planner1. Engaging local and foreign vendors on supply of raw material and production components for production. This serves a reminder to vendors and to affirm the continuous supply for production support.2. Review of daily and weekly stocks availability at the various site. Thus ensuring a good inventory accuracy at both sites. This also helps in tracking materials available with the production plan for the week. Buffer stocks are also monitored in here to avoid any surprises in the near future.3. Reviewing of pro-formal invoice (thus price and order description) with procurement on the supply of materials. In here material samples are often sent to quality for inspection and later confirm with agreed price between the vendor and the procurement team.4. Raising of purchasing order (P.O) with stated demand quantity. This is a means of creating a contract/agreement with vendor to supply materials of a certain sum of stocks. A stated time frame is often given to the vendor per his commitment to supply within that time frame. Persistent follow up is often done her to ensure materials are received as requested.Often with foreign vendors, Freight cost, Customs charges and customs duty are been included in the PO raised.5. Reviewing of goods received (GR) note done by the warehouse team.Often when goods are received at the warehouse and in depth cross check is done to confirm the good received with the PO quantity.
