My 15-year research focuses on diet and public health, contributing to numerous scientific publications and EU projects. I've taught and supervised various public health subjects, including epidemiology, statistics, nutritional epidemiology, quantitative methods in research, and public health issues related to obesity, malnutrition, diabetes, and endocrine disruptors. I have also developed and implemented courses such as "Epidemiology", "Scientific Method II," and "Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Health Promotion." I have also experience working with healthy school meals and I am active in public speaking with invitations to speak at Harvard University, Barilla and TEDx. My main areas of expertise include overweight and obesity in both children and adults, kidney disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, food allergy and intolerances, inflammatory diseases as well as reduction of common risk factors such as high blood glucose and lipid levels.
