  PhD fellowship granted by Sincrotrone Trieste, in "Novel Technologies For Materials, Sensors Ad Imaging" (Subject of the research concerned the E.M. characterization of Accelerating Cavities. In particular, the problem of beam equipment interaction and the relevant generation of wake-fields produced by microbunches was tackled.   Beam loss detectors development, in the frame of CLIC (Compact Linear Collider) Experiment. The main project was focused on the feasibility study of a Cherenkov light detector based on standard optical fibers coupled to SiPMs in order to reduce the costs of the BLM system. Characterization and optimization of new generation SiPMs, Montecarlo simulations, and students support in the field of particle detectors, were some of the main daily activities during this period.
