  The project was related to the preliminary design of a new liquid rocket engine for the final stage of the European Lancher Vega. The growing demand in terms of flexibility, cost-effectiveness and reduced enviromental impact have been met by the usage of new green-bipropellant solution. Within the team-work of the Space Propusion Laboratory, i focused mainly on the prelyminary design and development of the combustion chamber injection plate. Different kinds of injection systems have been considered. A theoretical study has be matched with an empirical campaign developed in order to measure mixing and atomization performance indices belonged to single injectors. Show less
