I routinely presented findings to faculty members, trained new undergraduate research assistants, and consistently developed new, more efficient methods of preparing specimens for testing based on input from other team members.

  Over the summer I was in charge of optimizing the processing conditions and determining the tensile properties of composite laminates. Through preliminary research and experimentation I defined a simple, yet effective way to impregnate the carbon fiber with a matrix material. I then validated my conditions quantitatively through flex and tensile analysis. I presented my findings to faculty members and provided written instructions on my processing methods for the department.
