  Over the summer I was in charge of optimizing the processing conditions and determining the tensile properties of composite laminates. Through preliminary research and experimentation I defined a simple, yet effective way to impregnate the carbon fiber with a matrix material. I then validated my conditions quantitatively through flex and tensile analysis. I presented my findings to faculty members and provided written instructions on my processing methods for the department.
