Data mining method used: search for affinity to build relationships, biclustering. The aim of this course was to extract relevant knowledge from a set of data represented in matrix form (binary matrices) based on two partitioning criteria. This representation in matrix form can still be seen as an adjacency matrix representing a graph. To do so, I have studied and experimented with biclustering techniques to identify groups of highly correlated elements. I have therefore carried out a comparative study of biclustering algorithms based on certain quality criteria such as the precision of the biclusters obtained and the coherence of the biclusters. These techniques can help when building the recommendation model on a sales site, for example, because the information extracted tells us about customer habits. Some application cases:-Document analysis;-analysis carried out in genetics;-analysis of the housewife's basket;-social network analysis.Tools: R, Talend Show less

Data mining method used: clustering. The objective of my master work was to extract relevant knowledge from a large database represented in the form of graphs (representing entities and the interactions between them). Several phenomena can be modeled by graphs. My work has three parts:- large real-world graphs being difficult to represent, I generate large synthetic real-world graphs that approximate those of the real world. These graphs will allow me to carry out my experiments;- study and experimentation of community detection algorithms in evolutionary graphs;- study and experimentation of algorithms for extracting sub-graphs frequent in dynamic graphs.Community detection and extraction of frequent sub-graphs are useful knowledge extraction techniques in large datasets;Other experiments performed:-Design of an algorithm to improve the quality of the generated graphs;-Extraction, standardization and structuring of data (implementation of a script for transforming raw data into vector form);-realization of an interface with the python tkinter package;-creation of documents on latex (Tex studio) and slides on beamer;-presentation of my work at several seminars. Some areas of application are:-the banking/finance sector-analysis of the market basket (supermarket)-analysis of the travel of a travel agency's clientsTools: R, Python, C++, latex, linux Show less
