Manage between 6-9 employees, ensuring workloads are completed in accordance with the agendas set in place by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Department of Labor (DOL) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Review Employment and Training Administration (ETA) and Department of Labor (DOL) guidance regarding both the Rapid Response and WOTC Programs. Also following the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) guidance regarding for WOTC; understanding the rules relating to tax and congressional provisions and relaying said information to my team, employers, and consultants, as well as internal and external partners. Ensure employers are also following the guidelines set forth by DOL when submitting Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARN), as well as the ETA, DOL and IRS guidance for WOTC. Send communication throughout the state when a WARN Notice has been filed. This mass communication includes DWD personal, the governor’s office and regional rapid response representatives to activate Rapid Response activities. Also send mass communication to employers and consultants utilizing the WOTC program in Indiana, for all program updates, system changes and updates on processing. Provide quarterly updates to DOL for WARN Notices being filed in Indiana and all Rapid Response activities performed. Submit quarterly reports for WOTC certifications issued and applications received. Ensure all of the quarterly reports are entered accurately to ensure department funding can be issued timely.In May 2020, I applied for a backlog grant for additional funding to enhance our eWOTC system and potentially automate a portion, while eliminating our backlog. September 2020, Indiana was one of 4 states awarded the highest tier of funding ($325,000) to reduce the state’s backlog. Only 12 states were awarded funding.
