      Working for TJX Europe introduced me to the work of retail and the detail behind exceptional customer service. During my time with TK Maxx I experienced additional training in the key operations of customer care. I worked in 3 Scottish stores, including the flagship store in Edinburgh (opened August 2016 - St Andrews Square) where I assisted with training an entirely new work force to support management. I discovered skills within retail merchandising and was given the opportunity to travel around Scotland to work in other key stores and assist with store refurbishments as an experienced associate. Show less This experience allowed me to practice my German conversational skills. Dealing with thousands of German and non-German customers, whilst learning about TK Maxx in a contrasting European setting to the UK, allowed me to enhance my perspective on the operations and scale of TK Maxx and TJX Europe. From this experience, I gained inter-cultural skills and can now differentiate between the needs and expectations of different cultures within Europe, based on retail employment experience with TK Maxx and TJX Europe in Germany.       I worked on a fixed-term basis until the end of July to manage, book, process and sell 800+ trade stands for the 180th Royal Highland Show – Scotland’s largest outdoor event – now taking place in 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 global situation.I worked within the commercial department of the society as part of the trade stand team to support and work closely with my senior peers and management. I was one of the first points of contact for exhibitors who contact the trade team to deal with trade stand enquiries and bookings for the Royal Highland Show. I assisted with onsite visits with exhibitors and took clients through the entire trade stand customer journey using customer relationship management systems and financial tools and software. I was also responsible for building elements of the public facing app for attendees to use when attending the Royal Highland Show.
