  I served as the contractor public information officer for the I-405-SR 520 Bellevue Braids project and the I-405, South Bellevue Widening Project. Working cooperatively with WSDOT, I developed and implemented communication strategies. I built relationships with Overlake Hospital, deepened relationships with WSDOT and the City of Bellevue, and provided information about the project to drivers, residents and businesses. I developed and managed successful campaigns to inform drivers about the closures of I-405 to remove the NE 12th Street Bridge, open new ramps, and remove the Wilburton Tunnel in Bellevue.I also served on the proposal team, researching, drafting and editing new business proposals for Atkinson.   Juggling's the name of the game! I help manage communications for a diverse department that includes an airport, emergency management, facilities, animal services and more. I develop strategic communications plans for departmental issues, news and projects; manage the DES website and support content creation for social media and video; write and produce the monthly DES Express employee newsletter and monthly Plane Talk newsletter, with strategic emphasis on content featuring the county's True North value of racial justice.In addition, I serve as active leader on Director’s Office Change Team, co-producing monthly presentations. I also support the county's Anti-Racist White Action Group (ARWAG) as Planning Team member and first Communications trailblazer. I initiated and wrote ARWAG's inaugural statement of support of Asian and Black colleagues after the Atlanta shootings and Pierce County Sherriff incident. Show less
