Feb 2013 - Jan 2017At EY Colombo, I began my career as an associate and rose through the ranks to become Senior Auditor (2014), Audit Supervisor (2015), and Assistant Manager (2016). During my time as an assistant manager, I concurrently managed multiple audit engagements for clients in banking and finance, information technology, investment and funds, and manufacturing, trading and other sectors. By forging strong, positive working relationships with clients, I effectively managed client expectations, oversaw completion of audit tasks, and responded to client issues. As part of my client portfolio management tasks, I oversaw audit fee increments, engagement time and expense charges, working capital management, invoicing, and billing. Through my active participation in business development initiatives, I enhanced client and revenue generation prospects. To that end, I assisted in developing, enhancing, and presenting business proposals. I applied my thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts to complex situations and in performing detailed reviews of audit work and client deliverables.
