  Congress budget: 25 000 €The most challenging moment in my time at FEUP: to accomplish and lead the organization of ConnectinGears 2021, the 1st Mechanical Engineering Conference of FEUP and the Job Fair (connectingears.pt).My role allowed me to coordinate the organization team and its sub-departments (External Relations, Partnerships & Sponsorships, Logistics, and Marketing) of ConnectinGears, precisely the NEEM FEUP department exclusive to its organization. I was privileged to work with an outstanding team and incredible volunteer collaborators. After long months of hard work, adversities imposed by the pandemic, dedication and unmatchable attention to detail, it was possible, in March 2021, to promote an unprecedented event that the Mechanical Engineering course and all students deserved.It was 4 intense days, where, in the house of around 1000 participants, there was a breath of Mechanical Engineering, but also of perseverance, determination, passion, and competitiveness - intangible skills that always make 'the difference' and which apply perfectly to an engineer.Numerous activities and various sessions took place in a congress that featured speakers who lent this event a distinctive positivity that would contribute to opening horizons for young 'almost' engineers.CG 21 Website: connectingears.pt Show less The assignments that were invested in me involved frequent contact with companies to, alongside them, stimulate and bring forward the interaction with Mechanical Engineering students of FEUP. My role allowed me to develop and consolidate a bunch of capabilities of social and organizational nature. Between these skills, I highlight: teamwork, personal organization, the spirit of commitment, responsibility, and communication in different formats.Over these 2 years, I had the chance to contact people with amazing backgrounds, over 50 different companies and bring them to our students.
