  The British Council awarded me a funded IAESTE internship placement at Niš University. I worked in the faculty of mathematics researching minimal surfaces in the area of geometry using Mathematika as a modelling tool. I spent time with PhD students, aiding the review process of academic papers.

  I worked in the data processing department, running tests in time and depth processing for different steps in the production process. I used computer programs to create 3-D visual images to aid in QC and velocity interpretation. I created PowerPoint presentations of the test results so the client could assess the tests and make an informed decision.

  Thesis title: ‘A microsimulation approach to modelling the vehicle emissions impact of Electric Vehicles at a network level’. • Researching in a multidisciplinary department in a global top 100 university. • Key publication on “TCO and market share for hybrid and electric vehicles in the UK, US and Japan” (2018): most downloaded paper in Applied Energy (>20k downloads); covered in over 15 news outlets including The Guardian, the Telegraph, MIT Tech News, and the European Commission’s Science for Environmental Policy publication. Built a network across private and public sector stakeholders to ensure a sustainable future work pipeline.Key achievements include:• Delivered the feasibility study for The Mountain Bike Innovation Hub based on extensive industry stakeholder engagement, leading to £20 mill investment package by UK Government.• Identified and engaged stakeholders and partners. Delivered research data through interviews and workshops with over 50 cities to write the Electric Vehicle City Casebook and Policy Guide showcasing international best practice for large scale Electric Vehicle deployment, Presented/delivered the platform to help cities to understand policy options to increase city-scale transport electrification.• Project managed external communications to deliver annual report, newsletter, knowledge sharing workshops for the global Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology Collaboration Program, liaising between their 19-member country representatives.
