      Building Healthy Communities Program Coordinator

While serving as the Program Coordinator of the Building Healthy Communities team, I created a national analysis of over 50+ foundations across the nation via Excel to identify trends and the direction of programmatic efforts for the foundation. I also utilized Google Maps software to design and manage the program’s 60+ grantees, providing an interactive representation of the organization’s funding and outcomes over the initiative’s cycle. My work aided the place based investments of the Foundation's 7 priority neighborhoods. Show less

      Youth Advisory Board Project Coordinator

In my role as Youth Advisory Board Project Coordinator, I designed curricula for various Boston area high school youth to learn concepts of financial wellness, health, and introductory business development practices. I conducted a trend analysis on Boston's health disparities, and proper youth development and coaching methodologies to consider multiple learning styles. While helping coordinate and lead the project, I recruited potential partners for collaboration and donors to fund future Youth Advisory Board projects, resulting in the organization securing the most independent funding that YAB saw in 2018-2019. Jul 2019 - now

As Senior Program Coordinator, I guided the expansion of our Responsive Philanthropy in Black Communities workshops to a full suite of services, effectively renamed as Philanthropic Advising Services (PAS). Working in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropic Advising Services, I fleshed out the curriculum for the PAS work, and added organizational assessments and technical assistance to the menu of services. I was also able to leverage my program management experience, utilizing agile concepts and methodologies to develop a SOP manual to promote cross-team understanding, as well as align cross-functionally with PAS Director and VP of Programs and PAS to manage relationships between our clients, internal and external trainers and consultants, and key partners. Given my success internally, I was chosen to serve on the Better Giving Studio's Champion cohort to conceptualize equity across the giving space.Responsibilities with Better Giving Studio:Participated in Better Giving Studio's Fall 2021 Sprint as an Expert-in-Residence and an Advisory Council Member to utilize experience in giving space to engage with participants and provide feedback on concepts in developmentAided in the creation of an open-source toolkit to back equitable curation processes, which was highlighted on the Studio’s blogIdentified areas requiring additional tools and resources to aid giving platforms’ decision making including: defining equitable curation goals and search criteria and determining tools for curation, accessibility, and accountability; volunteerism and donation technology suggestions Show less
