I was able to build and maintain relationships with agents throughout the east coast. I enjoyed having a flexible schedule and traveling as needed to the east coast.   As a Sales Rep, I built relationships with brokers and managed sales for Group Disability, Life and Dental products to middle-market companies in Chicago. The company culture made the job even more enjoyable by creating a close bond across team members. The manager led by example and was a role model who taught me about the industry, products and how to close a sale. I learned how to clearly assess the client’s needs and manage my time appropriately.I was the first female sales representative hired by Confederation Life. It was exciting to work on larger complex companies where I could add value. I was able to build relationships, hone my consultative selling skills, and make compelling client presentations.
