    • PMS Engineers

      Jun 2002 - May 2003
      Project Intern

      • Designed a V Block and Milling Cutter assembly to chamfer square plates and surfaces (up to 60mm in width). • Created assembly and detailed individual component drawings in AutoCAD 2000 as well as manufactured components.• Created report containing customer specifications, detailed drawings, design calculations, process sheets and cost sheet.

    • Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited

      Jun 2005 - May 2006
      Project Intern

      • Designed a reduction speed gear box (1000 rpm to 1 rpm) to index an 1102 lb fixture, helping reduce employee fatigue.• Effectively used basic and advanced processes based on capability to manufacture components and executed final assembly.• Created report containing customer specifications, detailed drawings, design calculations, process sheets and cost sheet.

    • Antolin

      Oct 2006 - Mar 2009
Automotive Design Engineer - Overhead Systems

      • Responsible for developing injection molded hard trim and thermo-formed soft trim products for Automotive Interiors Performing tooling and manufacturing feasibility studies (DFM) on automotive products. Benchmarking products from similar segments, conducting spatial analysis for packaging, implementing various plastic materials on the basis of customer driven interior system targets like cost and function. Proposing and defining all master sections during concept generation and developing math models using CATIA V5. Designing mechanisms, components and determining robust attachment / fixation / mounting schemes. Selecting and implementing standard parts like dampers and doghouse clips and standardized parts like sector gear, bins and rubber dampers for overall cost reduction.Presenting and proposing technical solutions to the design teams / customer in meetings / design reviews. Performing Tooling / Manufacturing feasibility study (DFM) on components for Injection Molding process. Employing DFSS tools like Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Serviceability (DFS). Contributing to the execution of Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R) and Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA).Carrying out geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis and dimensional engineering, scheduling work activities, coordinating with cross functional teams, estimating time for design activities and allocating work to individuals for component as well as assembly release drawings. Analyzing RPT’s (SLS/SLA) and initial tooling samples for fit and form as well as proposed corrective action, if required. Managing complete data acquisition and WIP data management through Team Center Engineering (TCE). Validating the modular assembly for various safety regulations (FMVSS/ECE). Interacting directly with Studio Engineering for manufacturing feasibility.Supporting product launch as required. Show less
