      Waste Water Treatment Chief Operator is responsible for the oversight of the Waste Water Treatment operations, including reporting, process modification and upgrades, and compliance assurance. This includes being the official operator of record. Must meet EPA and TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation) standards.Duties include:-Preparing sample schedules and reviewing internal and external lab results-Working with Maintenance to schedule activities and order equipment-Working with vendors for operating supplies and invoice resolution-Conducting safety audits and evaluations-Evaluating operations and working with engineering on plant upgrades-Over site of our Dewater system and sludge hauling system process-Responsibility of treating up to 28 Million Gallons of Water a day.-Scheduling, Hiring and Managing up to 15 employees including operators and operation workers.-And more. Show less -Assists in operating, maintaining, monitoring, and adjusting all wastewater plant process equipment, including pumps, motors, gauges, meters, aerators, blowers, chlorinators, chemical feeds, sludge equipment to ensure treated water meets State quality standards.-Assists in monitoring off-site wells and reclaimed distribution systems, including operating equipment by reading chemical and flow levels; inspects equipment, identifies equipment problems, may make minor repairs and adjustments;-Operates valves, gates and pumps to adjust water flows and chemical injection rates; performs routine maintenance work on valves, feeders, and related equipment as required;-Assists in monitoring and adjusting flows through wells, pumps, and meters to control the distribution system and system pressure;-Makes basic treatment and operational changes to the wastewater processes and distribution systems;-Reads and interprets meters, gauges, and instruments; enters daily readings into computer databases and/or spreadsheets.
