      Undergraduate Research Award University of Vermont Apr 2014 I received a grant for my research in pharmacology and cancer studies. I used three techniques, immunohistochemistry, Western Blot Analysis, and PCR. In studying the results we furthered our understanding of cellular biology and created new approaches to cancer diagnostics and treatment. My work was later used in my poster presentation and to publish a paper in Endocrinology.

      Gold Award Girl Scouts of America May 2011 10 years as a Girl Scout culminated into one final project, the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award. My project entailed designing and implementing a plant biology lesson, then building and planting in raised beds and creating usable landscaping at St Stevens Church and preschool. This project took about 100 hours of service. Fewer than 6% of eligible girls achieve this award.
