Show less Along with learning from the current Food and Beverage Director, I shadowed the current four Full-Time Food and Beverage Managers. I spent the first few weeks working with one of the Operations Manger to see how closing the park for the winter looked from a manager’s view. I also assisted in special projects for our annual Happy Halloween Weekends. I then transitioned to working with the Purchasing and Support Manager. We worked on budgeting, cost of goods, product testing, creating menus and food items, and much more. I then worked along side the Director briefly on some blue print tasks and ideas for the new restaurant that was being built. This included going to the construction site to ensure everything is going smoothly and to help make the layout run more efficiently. Then, I worked with the Training and Admin Support Manager. We went over all of our systems at the time and how to troubleshoot errors if they ever occurred. We then went into how to prepare for training and I was able to lead that seasons cash handling section each training day. Lastly, I worked with the remaining Operations Manager to get the park open and to see it from a manager’s point of view. I also applied and was honored of becoming a Seasonal Assistant Manager during this time and the majority of this time was personalized training for my new position; which carried on into the summer.
