      Jul 2016 - Jan 2021

Instructional Coach for Art, Music, PE, Drama, Tech, and Specials teachers and middle school Instructional Team at Arizona Charter Academy was where I have been for the last 5 years. My role was guiding teachers through Teach Like a Champion PD leadership, observations, instructional guidance, and curriculum support. This position reported to many stakeholders, extrapolating data and reporting quarterly. As the Instructional Coach, I was responsible to make sure my teachers were teaching the curriculum with fidelity and supporting them when necessary to rewrite or work through gaps in the curriculum. Show less As the grade level lead, I was responsible for assisting the principal in presenting weekly meetings to my team. We assessed data, wrote lessons, organized plans for the school calendar, planned state benchmark testing, and worked as a team to meet the needs of our students. It was my responsibility as the middle school grade level lead to help organize calendars, help students select electives, write systems and routines for the school and disseminate that information to the teachers. I lead the team in weekly meetings to understand the upcoming events and benchmark schedules etc. It was also my responsibility to track parent communication for each student in 5-8th grade and make sure that students and parents were receiving accurate and up-to-date information throughout the school year. Show less As a Professional Learning Community Lead for the School, I helped guide my teachers in creating PLC goals yearly, then supporting teachers in meeting those goals. Goals were tracked with our data benchmarks. I was responsible to report that school data quarterly to ensure that teachers met their goals and to help realign PLC goals to support teachers to meet our standard of excellence as needed. We disaggregated data together as a team to discern gaps in students learning and support the groups of students that were falling through the cracks. As a PLC, we would work together to have cross-curricular support on the identified standards and use the time together weekly to make sure our team was meeting goals and moving scholars forward.
