      Agile transformation leader

I led a grass roots agile transformation at Adobe from 2005 to 2015, starting with my own team (Adobe Audition), and then in 2008 moving into a full time role training and coaching nearly every Adobe creative product team, including such flagships as Photoshop, Acrobat, Flash, Dreamweaver and Premiere Pro, as well as dozens of internal IT and platform technology teams and groups like marketing, globalization, and even taxes . This hands on training and coaching was a major factor enabling Adobe's critical business transition from perpetual desktop products to subscription based services. The move from two year product cycles to frequent delivery of new features and improvements was critical to this transition, and Adobe's success in their transition to the cloud has been a rare one for a large, established software company. As Patrick Seitz wrote in Investor's Business Daily: "In terms of building up its cloud subscriber base, Adobe is hitting it out of the ballpark." Peter helped lay the groundwork for that shift by helping teams deliver working software and services frequently and at high quality. In recent years, I helped leaders address key issues that often arise when scaling scrum across an organization to multiple teams, and was the go-to person for facilitating large, cross-team planning meetings and Creative Cloud wide retrospectives. I helped large groups re-organize according to "anti-fragile" patterns, and created training for senior leaders in adopting an agile leadership mindset and practices.I also introduced key new approaches to customer and product discovery based on the Lean Startup framework. Barbara Spencer from my team originated an internal innovation program, teaming with VP of Creativity Mark Randall to develop the now open sourced Adobe KickBox program, described in Fast Company here: www.fastcodesign.com/3042128/adobes-kickbox-the-kit-to-launch-your-next-big-idea Show less
