      -- As a PT and Amateur Competitive Ballroom Dancer, I’m interested in how pain affects the potential of competitive and casual dancers.-- BDRP is a specialized program I created through Spaulding Rehabilitation that integrates my knowledge of dance technique and the competitive environment with my expertise in pain management and exercise. -- The result is a customizable program aimed at taking control of pain, modifying technique, and building dance resilience without ever putting dance on hold and enables injured dancers to return to competition stronger and less at-risk to re-injury--Return-to-dance and injury prevention programs, workshops, and studio visits are available in addition to conventional PT services. Catered towards Smooth/Standard/Rhythm/Latin dancers.★ The program is the first of its kind for the Ballroom Dance and Physical Therapy fields. Show less -- My time at SRH has allowed me to specialize in both land and aquatic treatment of medically complex orthopedic and multidisciplinary patients.-- I continue to pursue my interest in complex orthopedic spine pathologies, "return to sport rehab"​ for professional athletes, and ballroom dance rehabilitation (a great passion of mine).-- I have had the privilege of working closely with administrators to successfully implement multiple procedural changes in the department's operating, scheduling, and clinic-to-clinic referral protocols through various improvement projects/initiatives.-- I coordinate the department's orthopedic group as well as contribute to Spaulding's Dance Rehab & Lumbar Spine Rehab Special Interest Groups.-- In the past year, I organized and led a discussion-based lecture series across the department and network.
