I primarily used the CIM e-book provided for the course, as well as John Egan's "Marketing Communications" and tidbits from my university course as a whole, to score 82% in my Fundamentals of Marketing exam. My assignment for Customer Communications focused around the "promiscuous shoppers" that make up a significant part of the Big Four UK supermarkets, and specifically how Tesco can handle this loyalty issue by focusing on their "free-from food" customers. President

I have been a member of the BU Marketing Society since I began my first year at Bournemouth University, and have attended every society meeting since. I could see the value of the society to not only it's members, but to the university to as a whole. By appealing to students from a variety of courses, including Communication and Media, English, Public Relations, as well as Marketing and Advertising, the society is a melting pot of perspectives on the media industry and personal skill-sets. The society aims to provide it's members with opportunities to expand upon their new-found academic knowledge of marketing from insightful talks from industry professionals, and then put this into practice by working with local businesses to help build members portfolios and CVs.
