      Project Manager at ISRS, where we are pioneering a groundbreaking design for the ISRS spectrometer. Departing from traditional linear magnet arrays, our innovative approach addresses common limitations such as drift lengths and constraints of dispersive planes.The ISRS spectrometer leverages a unique particle storage system utilizing iron-free superconducting multifunction magnets (SCMF), cooled by cryocoolers within a compact storage mini-ring. This design employs Fixed Field Alternating Gradient focusing (FFAG), which significantly enhances performance by avoiding iron-induced nonlinearities, hysteresis, magnetization, and ohmic losses.Our spectrometer layout includes four corners, each bending the beam by 90°, using multifunction iron-free Canted Cosine Theta (CCT) magnets. These can be a single unit or split into a few straight sections with integrated dipole and quadrupole functions, and sextuple corrections. The system also features a set of quadrupoles for focusing, an injection/extraction system, and a focal plane detector. This reduction in iron content eliminates nonlinearities and hysteresis, resulting in a design that is significantly lighter and more compact than traditional spectrometers, yet maintains high resolving power and efficiency.I am thrilled to contribute to this cutting-edge project and look forward to advancing the frontiers of particle spectrometry with our innovative ISRS spectrometer design.More info: https://www.uhu.es/isrs/ Show less
