Consultant consortium consisted of Montgomery Watson Harza (U.S), Norplan (Norway), National Development Consultants (Pakistan), Nespak (Pakistan), Associated Consulting Engineers (Pakistan). I worked on panel of NDC and my duties included:• Supervised manufacturing, installation, welding (Submerged Arc Welding) and Non Destructive Testing of 156 Penstock Segments covering 109m length and its Drainage and Dewatering System• Supervised installation, welding and NDT Testing of Draft Tube Liner consisting of 11 Sections, thickness 60mm.• Supervised installation, welding and NDT Testing of Draft Tube Bonneted Gates consisting of 4 lower sections, Flap Gate, U/S & D/S Bonnets and Access Pit Liner.• Supervised installation, welding and NDT Testing of Stay Ring (thickness 150mm, Material Q235) and Spiral Case (each comprising of 22 circular and 4 straight sections, Maximum internal Ф2.6m, Spiral Case Segment Thickness 50mm).• Supervised installation and welding of Pit Liner.• Supervised installation, welding and hydrostatic testing of S.S pipes (Austenitic TP 304) of ɸ up to 450mm and up to pressure 1.5 MPa for Unit Cooling Water Supply, Units and Tunnel Dewatering, Water Drainage System, Fire Fighting, Medium & Low Pressure Compressed Air System and HVAC. • Supervised commissioning of 25 Tons Gantry Crane (at Site C2).• Supervised the welding team during different welding positions (1G, 2G, 3G and 4G) and checked quality of welding by Non Destructive Tests (NDT) such as Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Radiographic Testing and Dye Penetration Test, where needed. • Incoming Material Inspection.• Review of Contractor Document Submittals, such as Method Statements and Quality Reports. It uses Gas To Liquid technology (Fischer-Tropsch Process) to convert natural gas into diesel and naphtha. Oryx GTL capacity is 32,441 barrels/day. I am working for QCON as a Planning Engineer. QCON’s scope has static equipment such as Shell Type Heat Exchangers, Plate Type Heat Exchangers, Effluent Exchangers (Fin Fans) and Vessels such as Drums, Tanks, Columns and Reactors. My duties include:• Understand work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequences of construction disciplines.
