  Responsible for the safe instruction of a wide range of outdoors and adventure activities, keeping guests engaged and informed. As well as looking after staff I was running team-building events, catering for groups sized 10-100 people. As well as towing inflatables I am able instruct Water-skiing, Wake boarding & Knee boarding. This requires good communication skills and the ability to help those less confident to succeed. I am also a trained lifeguard and British Waterski Licence holder. My friendly and enthusiastic personality has made this part of my job very enjoyable. My responsibilities required me to integrate quickly into a team to ensure the restaurant and bar areas were kept to high standards, and service was as efficient as possible. During the year I worked in resort sales I played a key role in their team, selling rooms to Crieff Hydro’s returning clients. This was a job where I had to be focused on creating a good relationship with the guests. It taught me how to meet targets and close sales. This also enhanced my IT skills, and I am proficient In Opera, Micros, Concept and Anevista.

  Skipinnish Ceilidh House was taken under the wing of Freedom Hotels in April 2015. Here I manage a team of 20 people to host traditional Scottish ceilidh dances and shows for tourists visiting Oban. These vibrant nights attract crowds of up to 300 people. As well as being involved in the development of the business I have learnt a lot about managing people and have been exposed to Profit and Loss accounts and budgeting. This Venue is also used as a “Night Club” on a Saturday night. Being one of two late night venues in town, this was an opportunity to offer a range of different themed nights for the local’s, as well as visiting tourists, to beat our competition. Show less
