Responsibilities included creating a procedure manual following ISO 9000 regulations that described the steps to follow in the technician’s daily duties, train personnel on how to properly operate medical equipment in different departments such as technical customer support, quality inspections, receiving equipment, installation, preventive maintenance and transportation, also train end users in the functions and operation of medical equipment and devices, such as patient monitors, anesthesia machines, patient ventilators, OR Tables, OR Lights, Sterilizers, defibrillators, sleep study equipment, electrosurgical units, incubators, infant warmers and hospital beds and stretchers. The goal was to make sure that everyone understood the importance of great customer support and excellent deliverance and installation of medical equipment. The final part of the project was to evaluate all of the equipment in house that was imported mostly from manufactures in Asia, and determine if it was satisfactory enough to establish an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) contract with the manufacturer, depending on the sales, warranty and quality of the equipment.
