  Environmental PM; Wildlife Biologist

  Acting Chief, Environmental & Energy Office at an Army installation 11 months. Represented Army installation to Federal (EPA, USFWS, SCS (NRCS), COE), state and local regulators. Conducted Phase I environmental site assessments for multiple proposed Army Reserve site selections/construction in MN, WI, IA. Managed air quality, NEPA, RCRA Part D (solid waste), IRP, groundwater, recycling, and participated in initial testing of Army's Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) program. Developed several initiatives in recycling/reuse of coal ash residuals and solid waste options for a major Federal facility. Participated in Wisc DNR revision of NR 180 (groundwater) regulations. Served 2 years as a wildlife biologist conducting fish & wildlife surveys, analyzing data, preparing reports including sections of the wildlife management plan (predecessor to INRMPs) Show less

  ECW Environmental Group, LLC (ECW) was a technical staffing and sustainability consulting small business. Created and developed the CASTING initiative to solve many of the chronic NEPA/EIA problems-- solution focuses on achieving sustainability and environmental performance goals. Our on-site staff worked at Federal facilities (primarily military installations) other sites supporting environmental programs such as NEPA, ISO 14001 EMS, Sustainability, Air Quality, Wildlife, Forestry and ecological monitoring. ECW's technical expertise was focused NEPA analysis and documentation. Closed the company in 2018 after 17 years of successful environmental service to the Army, Dept. of Homeland Security, Air Force, National Marine Fisheries Service, and local government agencies.
